Something New: Mermaid Crowns!

Something about this makes me smile: a mermaid crown made from seashells. This one was created by Corina Brown of Wild & Free Jewelry in Santa Barbara, California.

Looking at her crowns just gave my creativity a boost! Off to the sewing machine!

OMG!!!! Carrie would have LOVED this when she was a kid. Atually, she would still love it! Do you remember Jellies. Pink plastic sparkly sandals for girls? She had a slew of them and wore nothing else for long long time!

This is so cute. I send shells to my granddaughters and would love to make them a crown. Actually, I think we will make crowns together when I visit them in October. I'm thinking I might have to make myself one too! Does anyone know what was used for the base of the crown? TIA.
